Positions within Boston Analytics’ Mumbai team are organised into the following five levels, each with specific prerequisites and roles.

Associate Project Manager MBA (preferably IIM) with 3-5 years of experience in professional services Responsible for day to day project management
Senior Analyst MBA (preferably IIM) or PhD with 2-5 years of experience in an analytical/ research role Leads all analytical components of work
Analyst Fresh MBA, BTech (preferably IIT) or MA in economics with strong analytical skills Conducts research and analytics
Research Associate Undergraduate with market research experience Gathers information

The following positions are currently available in Mumbai:

1.Senior Project Manager, Marketing Research

Location: Mumbai - 1 Position

Job Responsibilities
  • Writing proposals (Word and PowerPoint)
  • Designing (also maybe scripting) questionnaires
  • Experimental design: fractional factorial design
  • Multivariate analysis: Latent Class Models, Discrete Choice, Conjoint, Factor and Cluster Analysis, Regression and Correlation, Multiple Discriminant Analysis
  • Tabulations (Stub and Banner): experience writing tab specs, both weighted and unweighted
  • Supervising and QCing the coding of open-ends
  • PowerPoint/Excel: experience converting tabs to PPT slides
  • Skills Desired in future like Econometrics,Time-series analysis etc.
Prerequisites
  • 8-10 years in the hands-on practice of marketing research, preferably with a vendor
  • MBA in management science or Master’s level degree in a quantitative field (statistics, econometrics)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, econometrics, math or applied math, physics) with more experience in marketing research doing quantitative analysis
  • Alternatively, Ph.D. in a social science (cognitive or experimental psychology, but NOT sociology or anthropology) with direct hands-on marketing research experience doing quantitative analysis
2.Project Manager [Business Research & Analytics]

Location: Mumbai - 2 Positions

Job Responsibilities
  • Direct Industry / business analysis. Typical assignments include analyzing a whole industry in general and several specific companies in the industry using various analytical frameworks and financial analytics and preparing economic research reports either for global parameters or with reference to economic development in specific countries
  • Lead several teams, each consisting of 3-5 analysts/senior analysts, to deliver analytical output in form of power point reports / extensive excel spreadsheets.
  • Interface with Clients to close on deliveries and participate in client meetings where required.
  • Actively contribute to Business Development Initiatives
  • Assist in the design and final presentation of all projects
  • Actively contribute to the development of thought capital and/or intellectual property of Boston Analytics
  • Direct the development of research protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and analytical frameworks
  • Monitor and analyze efficiency as well as utilization parameters of the Business / Industry
  • Research group and implement initiatives to improve on these parameters.
Prerequisites
  • An MBA from a premier institute or a Post Graduate in Management with 7 to 9 years of experience
  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in engineering (preferably from a reputed institute), business management, statistics, economics or similar analytical field
  • Experience in consulting, corporate planning, business research or analytics for a period of more than 3 years post MBA
  • Experience in leading a team for quantitative and qualitative business research.
3. Associate Project Manager [Business Research & Analytics]

Location: Mumbai - 2 Positions

Job Responsibilities
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of project management, including developing and managing project work plan, supervising analysts, overseeing quality of work, and ensuring project is completed on time and within budget
  • Assist in the development of project proposals
  • Develop research and analytical frameworks and methodologies
  • Develop and train other staff members
  • Contribute actively to the intellectual property of Boston Analytics
  • Identify new sales opportunities with existing and/or new clients
  • Assist in conducting annual performance appraisals of junior staff
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested
Prerequisites
  • Graduate/PhD degree in business management, economics and/or statistics
  • Project management experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional services firm
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train and support staff members
  • Management consulting experience is a plus
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to work in a time-line driven environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills and capability to work in project environment marked with insufficient data and derive meaningful conclusions from apparently ambiguous information
  • Familiarity with strategic analyses frameworks and financial analyses techniques to be deployed for analyses of various industries as a whole and companies in particular
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially power point and excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
