Lord Bilimoria CBE, DL
Karan Bilimoria is the founder and chairman of UK-based Cobra Beer. He has launched or founded several other companies in his career including General Bilimoria Wines, Tandoori Magazine, curryzone.com, and Cobrabyte Technologies. Karan started his career at Ernst & Young in 1982 and later served as a consulting accountant at Cresvale Ltd. in London (part of S&W Beresford). He has also worked for the European Accounting Focus magazine. Karan received his law degree from Cambridge University and has won numerous awards for entrepreneurship. Awarded the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) as part of Her Majesty The Queens Birthday Honors List 2004, Karan was appointed to the House of Lords in May 2006.
Dr. Tom Cellucci
Tom Cellucci is the founder, president and CEO of Cellucci Associates,
Inc., an international high-tech management consulting firm.
In his career, he also has served in a variety of senior executive
and director positions for several large companies. Tom sits
on the boards for ASME and the Laser Institute of America
and is a member of the Senatorial Trust – a small group
of distinguished business and political leaders nominated
by the U.S. Senate to meet regularly with the highest-ranking
members of the government. Tom holds a Ph.D. from the University
of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Rutgers University, and a BS
from Fordham University.
Dr. Charles Cooney
Senior Advisor
Charles Cooney is the Robert T. Haslam (1911) Professor of Chemical
Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
A member of MITs faculty since 1970, Charles is faculty
director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation,
co-director of the Program on the Pharmaceutical Industry,
and faculty director of the Consortium on Advanced Manufacturing
for Pharmaceuticals. He sits on boards of directors for Genzyme,
BioProcessors, and Biocon, Ltd. (India), was a member of the
BP Technical Advisory Council from 2001-2007, and chaired
the FDA Advisory Committee for Pharmaceutical Science from
2004-2006. Charles has published more than 300 research papers,
holds more than 30 patents, and has co-authored or edited
five books. He received his BA in chemical engineering from
the University of Pennsylvania and his MA and PhD in biochemical
engineering from MIT.
Dr. Tarun Khanna
Senior Advisor
Tarun Khanna is the Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at the Harvard
Business School, where he has been a member of the Strategy
group since 1993. He holds a BS degree from Princeton University
and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. Tarun heads the Strategy
course in the Harvard MBA program and the Strategy, Leadership
& Governance Executive Education program. He also lectures
and consults with companies and governments worldwide. Tarun
has contributed articles to Harvard Business Review
and Foreign Policy and has served as an expert for
major news organizations such as Wall Street Journal,
The Economist, the Far Eastern Economic Review,
CNN, and CNBC.
Dr. Arthur Schleifer
Senior Advisor
Arthur Schleifer is the James J. Hill Professor Emeritus of
Business Administration at Harvard Business School and has
held teaching positions at Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College,
Harvard Business School, New York University, the Insitituto
de Estudios Superiores de la Empressa, and SDA Bocconi. He
is the author of numerous publications in statistics, data
analysis, and decision making and has served as a consultant
to and provided expert testimony for dozens of Fortune 100
companies. Arthur received his MBA and DBA in managerial economics
from Harvard University and his BA in physics and philosophy
from Yale University.
